Senator Johnathan Joseph, the United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate for St. Mary’s North, has donated adult diapers and bed pads to the J & G Special Care & Elderly Home in a gesture aimed at supporting senior citizens in need.

The facility, located off Bendals Road, received the items this week as part of what Joseph described as his ongoing outreach within the constituency.

Joseph said caring for the elderly remains a vital responsibility for any community. “A good deed is the heartbeat of society,” he said during the presentation, noting that seniors are sometimes overlooked despite their contributions to national life.

Representatives of the home thanked the senator for the supplies, which are used daily in the care of residents.

Joseph said he intends to continue similar initiatives across St. Mary’s North, adding that community support must extend to the most vulnerable.

The donation comes amid broader calls for strengthened social support systems for elderly residents across Antigua and Barbuda.
