It was a thrilling, high-quality showdown on Week 2, Night 3 as Billiard Kings and Money Team went rack for rack in an exhilarating contest that came down to the final match at Billiards Kings hometurf Escape Bar.
When the night ended, Money Team emerged 5–4 winners — the narrow margin tells the full story. This was a battle.
The action opened with Money Team’s captain, Pooran, squaring off against Marshall of Billiard Kings. Marshall showed promise early, but Pooran recovered after dropping the opening rack and settled into his rhythm to take the match 2–1, giving Money Team the early edge.
Billiard Kings responded immediately. Bernard “Killa” Percival delivered two strong run-outs against Ringo, leveling the overall score at 1–1 and swinging momentum back in the Kings’ favour.
Mac10 then stepped up for Billiard Kings and edged Imshan 2–1 in a tightly contested set, pushing the Kings into a one-point lead. Sniper followed with a composed performance against one of Money Team’s top players, Keon, splitting the early exchanges before closing strong to secure another 2–1 victory.
At that stage, Billiard Kings held the advantage.
Money Team answered.
Michael overcame Grim 2–1 in a competitive battle, cutting the deficit to 3–2. Antonio then produced a clinical display, taking two straight racks from Demolition Man to level the team score at 3–3 and reset the night.
With the momentum shifting, The Butcher of Billiard Kings made the first move against Navin, claiming the opening rack. But Navin responded with authority, storming back with two well-played racks to give Money Team the lead for the second time.
Tonic Man ensured the Kings were not going quietly. Facing Comeback Kid, he delivered two composed racks to keep Billiard Kings within striking distance and set up a dramatic finale.
All eyes turned to the final matchup — Money Team’s hard-hitting Terry against the experienced Metro. Metro showed why he is regarded as a seasoned competitor, but Terry’s strategic approach and sharp decision-making proved decisive. He captured two straight racks to seal the night 5–4 for Money Team.
It was a fiercely contested encounter between two evenly matched teams. Billiard Kings demonstrated depth, composure, and resilience throughout, while Money Team once again showed their ability to close under pressure.
For context, Money Team finished third last season after edging Billiard Kings into fourth place in the playoff battle — and this latest victory reinforces the competitiveness between the two sides.
Both teams deserve credit for a well-fought, high-intensity matchup that delivered quality team 8-ball from start to finish.
If this rivalry continues on this trajectory, the next meeting will be must-watch.
