In a statement issued after the results, Browne said, “Today, we stand stronger than before, and we have not lost our spirit, our purpose, or our belief in a better future for our people.”

He described the campaign as part of a wider effort beyond a single election, stating, “This journey was never just about one election—it is about the fight for fairness, opportunity, and real change for every citizen. And that fight does not end here.”

Browne thanked supporters, volunteers and voters for their backing throughout the campaign. “Your energy, your hope, and your commitment mean more than words can express. You showed what unity and belief can do, and that foundation remains strong,” he said.

He added that the party would use the moment to regroup, noting, “We take this moment not as defeat, but as a reflection. We listen, we learn, and we grow stronger together as a family to serve YOU, the PEOPLE of Antigua and Barbuda.”

Ending on a forward-looking note, Browne said, “The truth is simple: The work continues,” adding that the UPP will “keep showing up,” “keep building,” and “keep fighting for a better Antigua and Barbuda.”

    Full Statement from Alex Browne:

“Today, we stand stronger than before, and we have not lost our spirit, our purpose, or our belief in a better future for our people.

This journey was never just about one election—it is about the fight for fairness, opportunity, and real change for every citizen. And that fight does not end here.

To every supporter, volunteer, and voter who stood with us—thank you. Your energy, your hope, and your commitment mean more than words can express. You showed what unity and belief can do, and that foundation remains strong.

We take this moment not as defeat, but as a reflection. We listen, we learn, and we grow stronger together as a family to serve YOU, the PEOPLE of Antigua and Barbuda.

    Because the truth is simple:

    The work continues.

    We will keep showing up.

    We will keep building.

We will keep fighting for a better Antigua and Barbuda.

Stay engaged. Stay hopeful. Stay united.

The movement is alive—and this is only the beginning.”
