Police are investigating a breaking and larceny at a home in Cedar Grove after a 65-year-old woman reported her residence was burglarized on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026.

According to police, Joycelyn Joseph contacted the Langford Police Station after discovering the break-in, which occurred between 11:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. An intruder or intruders reportedly entered by removing two panes of louvre glass from an eastern bathroom window before ransacking the house.

Police said $1,100 EC in cash, a Michael Kors watch and a quantity of perfumes were stolen from a northern bedroom. Additional items, including perfumes, Vans caps and a watch of unknown value, were taken from a southern bedroom belonging to the complainant’s granddaughter.

Investigators believe the suspect or suspects exited through a southern door. Several people in the area were interviewed and a search was conducted for the stolen items, but no useful information was obtained. The Forensic Investigation Unit is expected to process the scene as investigations continue.

Police are cautioning members of the public against purchasing used or high-end perfumes being sold at unusually low prices or under suspicious circumstances, as the items may be stolen.
