Marlon Carr has been convicted of three counts of aggravated robbery over a 2022 home invasion at the Mill Reef Club and remanded ahead of sentencing on April 30.
Justice Ann Marie Smith, sitting without a jury, delivered the verdict following a trial that heard how three victims — all over 70 — were bound with duct tape while assailants forced a man to open a safe and stole cash, jewellery, an iPad and other items.
The court heard the attackers appeared to know the layout of the property, including the safe’s location.
Carr was originally charged with two others. Rickardo Bussawan pleaded guilty in 2024 and was sentenced to eight years and six months, while charges against Delon Wills were dropped.
