Gaston Browne says new agricultural equipment acquired by the government is expected to arrive in Antigua and Barbuda within the next 30 to 40 days, marking the next phase of efforts to reduce food insecurity.

The prime minister said the timeline follows recent investments that include equipment for two abattoirs, as well as heavy machinery to assist farmers with land clearing, pond and dam construction, and upgrades to farm roads.

He noted that once the equipment arrives, it will be deployed to support increased domestic food production and improve on-farm infrastructure.
