LETTER: When Am I Getting My Back Pay?

With all the madness happening here and abroad, one point remains- ME WAH ME MONEY.

As a person who resigned from the public sector, I am still awaiting my retroactive payment for the time I worked. I am not less worthy of payment than people still in the sector. I already did my time, and because of my skill set, I was able to easily pivot into the private sector.

As a government employee, I was an asset, so, I want my money that I was supposed to get since 2024.

I am tired of the cat and mouse game. If you a pay, pay EVERYBODY because we ALL worked.

This government found money to reimburse parents for CXC registration- a responsibility they chose to put on themselves by having children.

You paid artists for One Nation concert, now pay me.

How is it then that I damn near have to be begging for what I worked for?

In 2026, calls to the Treasury go unanswered and they provide no current social media updates.

Dear Prime Minister, please be the one to say clearly when monies will be paid because Treasury will NOT tell us and as I am no longer a government worker, I no longer have the time to spend going into Treasury only to hear, “Dem nah pay.”
