Prime Minister Gaston Browne is sponsoring 10 fully funded scholarships for residents of St. John’s City West to pursue selected short courses at the University of the West Indies Global Campus in 2026.

The initiative, announced through the St. John’s City West Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) constituency group, is aimed at expanding access to practical, career-focused training and supporting skills development among constituents.

According to the announcement, the scholarships will cover short courses designed to enhance professional capacity in areas including human resource management, supervisory and project management, labour law, marketing, office management, occupational health and safety, financial planning for small businesses, and introductory legal and education-related programmes.

The courses are offered through the UWI Global Campus Antigua and are internationally recognised. Participation is limited to residents of St. John’s City West, with spaces capped at 10 recipients.

The constituency group described the opportunity as an investment in personal advancement and workforce readiness, encouraging eligible residents to review the course options and application details outlined in the official flyer.

Interested individuals are advised to apply promptly, as spaces are limited.
