UPP candidate for St. John’s Rural South, Emanuel Peters, says he played a role in recent road grading works in Gray’s Hill and Nut Grove, arguing that the effort was carried out without assistance from government agencies.
In a statement, Peters said the work was aimed at improving daily conditions for residents, noting that easier access through the communities was the main outcome.
He claimed there was no support from Public Works or other government bodies, adding that he and his team moved ahead with the initiative to address the need.
Peters described the effort as part of his responsibility to serve the constituency, saying his focus remains on delivering practical results for residents.
The road conditions in several parts of Rural South have been a longstanding concern for residents, particularly in areas where access can be affected by poor surfaces and limited maintenance.
