Construction of Nobu Beach Inn in Barbuda is expected to be completed in late 2026, according to Nobu Hospitality. The company has not announced an opening date for guests.

The resort, developed with actor Robert De Niro, investor James Packer and hotelier Daniel Shamoon, is planned for Barbuda’s southwest coast. It will have 36 bedrooms spread across 17 private villas, along with 25 beachfront residences offered for sale.

Nobu says the development covers about 400 acres and two miles of beachfront. Plans include restaurants, a beach club, oceanfront pool, spa, fitness pavilion, children’s club and outdoor cinema. Tennis and padel courts are also planned, along with a water sports center offering activities such as sailing and water skiing.

The hotel would expand Nobu’s existing presence on the island. Its Nobu Barbuda restaurant and beach lounge opened on Princess Diana Beach in 2020. De Niro has said he first visited the property more than 30 years ago and wanted the new resort to complement Barbuda’s natural surroundings.

The residences will have access to the hotel’s services, with owners able to place their properties in a resort rental program. Nobu lists starting prices at US$12 million.

A hotel industry report published Thursday described Nobu Beach Inn as opening in late 2026, but Nobu’s current project page specifies construction completion by late 2026 and invites prospective guests to register for updates.
