St. Philip’s North will come alive with fitness, entertainment and health awareness on October 3–4, 2026, as two community events bring residents together for a weekend focused on wellbeing.

The activities begin on Saturday, October 3, with the Sunrise Fitness Jam & Socarobics, presented by the ABLP St. Philip’s North Youth Arm at the Willikies Basketball Court, from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Hosted by Supa Dymond, the morning will feature socarobics sessions led by instructors Timzo and Lynnique, alongside performances by the St. Philip’s North Cheerleaders, bringing added energy and excitement to the event.

Under the theme “Move. Vibe. Connect.”, the event will combine exercise, socarobics and live entertainment in an energetic community setting. Participants are encouraged to wear red and white and come ready to enjoy a morning of movement and connection.

Tickets cost $20, with breakfast included.

The focus on wellbeing continues on Sunday, October 4, with the Hon. Randy Baltimore’s Health & Wellness Fair at the Glanvilles Polyclinic, from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.

The fair will offer free health screenings, including blood pressure and diabetes checks, eye examinations and prostate screening, alongside other advertised services. Attendees can also access expert health advice and healthy living information, with wellness and fitness activities and fun for the entire family.

Residents attending Sunday’s fair are encouraged to wear sneakers and comfortable clothing so they can take part in the planned activities.

Together, the events connect the enjoyment of community fitness with access to health information and screening services. Saturday offers an opportunity to get moving and spend time with neighbours, while Sunday provides a space to ask questions, receive guidance and give personal health some attention.

Residents of St. Philip’s North and the wider public are invited to participate in both events and make the weekend an occasion for fitness, family and community connection.
