The Ministry of Sports has met with school principals across Antigua and Barbuda to discuss plans for strengthening sports programmes during the new academic year.
The ministry described the meeting as productive and said it was ready to work alongside school administrators to ensure school sports continue to grow and develop.
Officials said schools will play an important role in identifying, nurturing and developing the country’s next generation of athletes.
The ministry indicated that the meeting was only the beginning, with further initiatives expected to be announced during the school year.
