An earthquake was recorded east of Antigua and Barbuda, according to a seismic map released by the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC).

The map places the epicentre in the Atlantic Ocean east of Antigua and Barbuda, away from the Leeward Islands. No additional details, including the earthquake’s magnitude, depth or whether it was felt, were provided in the image.

The UWI Seismic Research Centre monitors seismic activity across the Eastern Caribbean and routinely issues preliminary earthquake locations through its regional monitoring network.
