Nurses at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre recently participated in medication safety refresher training aimed at reinforcing best practices and enhancing patient care.

The training featured interactive learning sessions and discussions based on real-world clinical scenarios, providing nurses with an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge of medication safety protocols.

The sessions were facilitated by the hospital’s Pharmacy team in collaboration with a Clinical Educator from the Learning and Development Unit.

Hospital officials said the initiative forms part of ongoing professional development efforts designed to improve patient safety, support continuous learning among healthcare staff and maintain high standards of clinical care.

The medical centre emphasized that continued education is essential to ensuring safe medication practices, noting that “every dose matters” and “every patient matters.”
