Ten children have begun their journey toward the Optimist Petit Show 2026 after being unveiled during a launch and banner reveal ceremony at the John E. St. Luce Conference Centre on June 21.

Held under the theme “Dream, Believe, Shine,” the annual programme, organized by the Optimist Club of St. John’s, aims to build confidence, leadership and public-speaking skills among children ages 9 to 11.

Chairperson Chandera Codrington described the competition as “an exciting journey” that will encourage delegates to dream boldly, believe in themselves and shine in their own way.

The contestants will participate in training sessions and community activities ahead of the final show on July 19 at the UWI Global Campus.
