Free weekend HPV testing will be offered at Villa Polyclinic on select dates in April and May as part of an initiative aimed at reducing the risk of cervical cancer through early detection.

The testing will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 18–19, May 9–10, and May 16–17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to information released by organizers.

Health officials are encouraging eligible women to take advantage of the service, noting that HPV testing plays a critical role in preventing cervical cancer.

The initiative is open to women between the ages of 30 and 65, as well as women who have never undergone an HPV test. Women who have not had surgery to remove the entire uterus are also eligible.

Organizers emphasized that women who have already had a Pap smear still qualify for the test.

The campaign underscores the importance of regular screening, with the message that early detection can be lifesaving.

For additional information, members of the public can contact organizers via email at hpvtestingab@gmail.com or by phone at (268) 781-8256.
