CalvinAir Helicopters, the premier helicopter tour and charter service in the region, is proud to announce the expansion of its fleet with the addition of a Pilatus PC-12, a state-of-the-art fixed-wing aircraft.

This new addition signifies a major step forward for the airline, enabling CalvinAir to provide more versatile and efficient transportation solutions across the region.

Previously focused exclusively on helicopter services, CalvinAir’s introduction of the PC-12 offers a wider array of capabilities, including long-haul charter flights and enhanced support for emergency medical airlift operations.

The acquisition of the PC-12 demonstrates CalvinAir’s continued commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its clientele, while upholding the highest standards of safety, reliability, and customer service.

“The addition of the Pilatus PC-12 to our fleet is a significant development for us,” said Mark Fleming, CEO of CalvinAir Helicopters.

“This aircraft allows us to offer more comprehensive services, especially for longer-distance flights, while continuing to support our vital emergency medical airlift missions. The PC-12 is a highly versatile and reliable aircraft, and we are excited to integrate it into our fleet.”

Their new eight passenger, VIP-equipped, Pilatus PC-12 is a turboprop jet renowned for its exceptional performance and versatility. It will complement CalvinAir’s existing fleet of three luxury Airbus H130 helicopters, adding a long-range, high-capacity asset that is ideal for both charter and emergency operations.

With its superior range, payload capacity and speed of 300mph, the PC-12 will facilitate longer-distance travel and carry heavier loads, making it an invaluable resource for both private, corporate and emergency response needs.

Its ability to assist with medical airlift missions is particularly significant, allowing CalvinAir to transport patients over greater distances and link Antigua & Barbuda with critical medical services abroad.

The new Pilatus has already demonstrated these benefits, having recently been utilized to provide critical support to Antiguan taxi driver, Mr. Kimroy Williams.

A severe spinal condition had left Mr. Williams unable to walk, and the aircraft facilitated his transport to Trinidad for specialized surgery.

“Whether for charter flights or emergency missions, our goal is to provide safe, efficient, and professional service on every flight,” added Fleming.

“We’re thrilled to offer our clients more options and the peace of mind that comes with knowing our fleet of advanced aircraft is always ready to meet their needs.”

CalvinAir Helicopters remains dedicated to providing top-tier helicopter and aircraft charter services, as well as emergency support, and looks forward to continuing to exceed the expectations of its customer base.
