Delon Charlery, who admitted to killing Customs Officer Zorina Benjamin in 2021, is set to be sentenced on 17 October.

The St Lucian national previously changed his plea after audio evidence emerged capturing heated exchanges between him and Benjamin, followed by a gunshot.

Benjamin, a customs officer, was shot in the head at her home in Golden Grove on 22 November 2021.

Sentencing was adjourned earlier to allow a probation officer to complete a report following interviews with witnesses and Charlery.

The court will now consider this report before delivering the final sentence.
