Parliamentary Representative E.P. Chet Greene has encouraged residents of St. Paul to take personal responsibility for their well-being as the constituency launches its annual Health Month observances.
Running from Oct. 1 to 31 under the theme _“Healthy Lifestyle …things we can change,”_ the initiative features health screenings, public lectures, radio programs and outreach to homes and schools.
Greene said the month’s activities are designed to strengthen both individual habits and community engagement in promoting better health.
“Remember, our health begins with what we consume,” Greene said in his Health Month message. He urged residents to “eat and drink wisely and be mindful of daily water intake,” adding that he wants people to record every bottle or glass of water they drink during October.
The MP called on residents to participate actively in the calendar of events and to view the observance not only as a personal challenge but as a commitment to families, the wider community and the nation.
“Stay healthy for yourselves, your families, our community and our country,” Greene said.
