Up to 50 people from Antigua and Barbuda could receive EC$430 each to help cover costs associated with participating in the Commonwealth People’s Forum 2026.

The Commonwealth Foundation, in partnership with the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, says it will support up to 50 local delegates for the three-day forum, which will run from November 2 to 4 at the American University of Antigua (AUA).

The funding is available to civil society leaders, advocates and supporters based in Antigua and Barbuda. Students in higher education are also encouraged to apply. The opportunity is restricted to residents of Antigua and Barbuda.

Selected delegates will receive a contribution of EC$430 toward participation costs, with the Foundation saying the assistance is intended to make the event more accessible to people for whom the cost of participating could otherwise be a barrier.

Successful applicants are required to complete registration for the People’s Forum and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting accreditation process by September 30. They must also participate fully in all three days of the forum. Funding will be distributed at the conclusion of the event on November 4.

The Commonwealth People’s Forum is held alongside CHOGM and brings together civil society representatives and other stakeholders from across the Commonwealth. This year’s programme will include discussions on freedom of expression, climate and environmental justice, economic inclusion, artificial intelligence, the blue economy and health financing.

The Foundation cautions that submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee a place, as attendance is subject to venue capacity and completion of the accreditation process.
