The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons defeated the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots by three wickets in a tense Caribbean Premier League encounter, climbing to fourth place in the seven-team standings.
Chasing 188 for victory, the Falcons reached 191 for seven with three balls remaining. Evin Lewis led the chase with 48 from 38 deliveries, while Hasan Nawaz scored 33 and Shadab Khan struck a crucial 30 from just 12 balls.
The Falcons lost Amir Jangoo in the opening over, but Lewis steadied the innings through partnerships of 34 with Karima Gore and 78 with Nawaz.
After Lewis and Nawaz departed in consecutive overs, the Falcons still required 74 runs from fewer than six overs. Shadab responded with an explosive innings before Moeen Ali made an unbeaten 25 from 12 balls and Shamar Springer contributed 15 from six to complete the chase.
Earlier, the Patriots posted 187 for six after being sent in to bat.
Kyle Mayers scored 34, but the Patriots struggled to maintain momentum during the middle overs and slipped to 80 for four after 11 overs.
Dasun Shanaka transformed the innings with an unbeaten 49 from only 17 deliveries, smashing five fours and four sixes. His late assault, including a rapid 40-run partnership with Wanindu Hasaranga, lifted the Patriots to a competitive total.
Springer finished with two wickets for 42 runs for the Falcons, while Jason Holder claimed two for 39 for the Patriots.
The victory moved the Falcons directly into fourth place, while the Patriots remained at the bottom of the table.
