The Ministry of Health’s Central Board of Health (CBH) is advising current and prospective food handlers of a series of upcoming training sessions scheduled for September, October and November.
The sessions will be held at the Multi-Purpose Centre at Perry Bay, with separate training opportunities available for new applicants and food handlers seeking to renew their certification.
According to the CBH, registration is mandatory before attending any of the sessions.
Registration will take place at the CBH Upper Church Street office between 8:30 a.m. and noon. A registration fee of $50 applies, while individuals who miss their scheduled training and wish to reschedule will be required to pay $25.
The September sessions are scheduled for September 3, 17 and 24, followed by sessions on October 8, 15 and 22. November sessions will be held on November 5, 12 and 19.
Sessions are limited to 80 participants.
New applicants and people whose food handlers’ badges have expired are also required to provide two passport-sized photographs. Participants should bring a valid government-issued photo ID when registering.
