Elena Etinoff

The UWI Five Islands Campus Guild of Students has congratulated student Elena Etinoff on her first-place finish in the university category of the Antigua and Barbuda Reparations Support Commission’s 2026 Essay Competition.

In a message celebrating Etinoff’s achievement, the Guild highlighted her winning essay, “From Chains to Change: Reflecting on the Past, Projecting a Just Future.”

The Guild said the essay offers a thoughtful reflection on the past while looking toward a more just and equitable future.

“We are proud to see our students using their voices, knowledge and ideas to contribute to important conversations,” the Guild said.

It congratulated Etinoff on the achievement and encouraged her to “keep the fight alive.”

Etinoff represented The University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus in the competition.
