Residents of Bathlodge say they are increasingly concerned about safety following a shooting that left 20-year-old Saquania Anthony dead and two others injured.

Police were called to the community at about 23:30 on 21 September, where they found Anthony suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was later pronounced dead at about 01:58 on Tuesday.

A 24-year-old man was also shot and remains in stable condition, while a 13-year-old boy is being treated for serious but stable injuries.

Police said three masked people forced their way into a house where several people had gathered before opening fire.

Two men were arrested shortly afterwards, while officers continue to search for a third suspect.

The shooting has unsettled residents who described Bathlodge as a generally quiet community.
