Two young men have agreed to put aside their differences and keep the peace following a matter before the Magistrate’s Court.

As part of the court’s intervention on Thursday, the youths were encouraged to reflect on their actions, apologise to each other and commit to resolving their differences peacefully.

A video shows the two young men exchanging apologies, shaking hands and agreeing to move forward without further conflict.

The Police Administration welcomed the outcome, saying efforts to promote peaceful conflict resolution can help young people exercise self-control and make responsible choices.

Parents, guardians, schools, community leaders and the wider public are also being encouraged to guide young people towards dialogue, mutual respect and non-violent ways of resolving disputes.
