The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA) has begun two days of strategic discussions to assess the tourism sector’s performance and shape its marketing priorities for the next two years.
The meetings, being held on 15 and 16 September, are bringing together tourism stakeholders to review current trends, marketing efforts and opportunities to grow the destination’s share of the international travel market.
Key areas include airlift, destination branding, digital marketing, changing visitor preferences and opportunities to develop new source markets.
The discussions will also examine ways to build on Antigua and Barbuda’s established tourism offerings, including luxury accommodation, beaches, yachting, romance and major events, while encouraging longer stays and increased visitor spending.
ABTA said the outcomes will help inform future campaigns, partnerships and marketing programmes, while strengthening coordination across the tourism industry.
