More than 630 men participated in the Lions Club of Antigua’s 18th Annual Prostate Screening Clinic on Saturday.
Despite unfavourable weather, 632 men received PSA blood tests, medical assessments and examinations at the Lions Den. Blood pressure, blood sugar and other screenings were also offered.
The clinic was organised with Dr. Dwayne Thwaites and Associates, Bio Health Medical and the Medical Benefits Scheme, with support from several public- and private-sector partners.
The Lions Club said the turnout highlighted the importance of accessible screening and urged men to undergo regular testing.
“Early detection saves lives,” the organisation said.
