The Adventist Youth Department of the South Leeward Conference will stage a “March of Witness” on Saturday, Aug. 22, as part of an initiative calling for an end to crime and violence.
The march, being held under the theme “End It Now,” is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Tindale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Organizers are encouraging as many young people as possible from Adventist Youth departments to participate in the demonstration, which will promote a message of peace, justice and nonviolence.
The initiative is being presented by the South Leeward Conference Women’s Ministries Department in collaboration with Adventist Youth Ministries.
“Be a voice. Be a witness. Be the change,” organizers said in promoting the event.
The march forms part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s “End It Now” campaign, which advocates against violence and encourages communities to take a stand for peace, justice and love.
Organizers said the event is intended to mobilize young people to publicly demonstrate against crime and violence and help promote positive change in their communities.
