Acting Chief of Police Lincoln Corbette says disciplinary action, including possible dismissals, could be announced against some officers in the coming days.
The action is suspected to be connected to the investigation into the murder of 16-year-old Jerbiah Paul.
Police Constable Jean-Luc Rudy Langlais, 23, of Portsmouth was charged with Paul’s murder on August 12.
Corbette said he would make no apologies for taking firm action to protect the integrity of the Police Force.
