Social Security Board Delays End-of-July Pension Payments, Assures Processing Today

    — The Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board (SSB) has apologized for delays in processing end-of-July pension payments, attributing the disruption to unforeseen technical difficulties.

In a public notice issued Tuesday, the Board said pensioners who were expecting their payments at the end of July experienced delays because of the technical issues.

The SSB sought to reassure beneficiaries that all outstanding pension payments are scheduled to be processed on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

“We wish to assure our pensioners that all outstanding payments will be processed today, Tuesday, July 28, 2026,” the notice stated.

The Board also apologized for the inconvenience caused by the delay and thanked pensioners for their patience and understanding while the issue is being resolved.

The announcement did not provide further details on the nature of the technical difficulties or indicate how many pensioners were affected.
