Two Detained as Police Intensify Murder Investigations
— Police have detained a man and a woman on suspicion of murder following a series of coordinated operations across several communities as investigators continue to pursue leads in ongoing murder investigations.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda said the operations were carried out on Monday, July 27, resulting in the seizure of several items believed to be of investigative interest. Among the items recovered were jewellery, clothing, six mobile phones, an electronic tablet, a notebook and two surveillance cameras.
The two individuals remain in police custody while assisting investigators with the ongoing probes.
The Police Administration said investigators continue to actively pursue all available leads and remain committed to bringing those responsible for violent crimes before the courts.
Authorities are appealing to anyone with information that could assist the investigations to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
