    Masked Gunman Opens Fire on Bellevue Estate Resident

    _POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECTS IN BELLEVUE ESTATE SHOOTING_

    St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, The police are searching for the suspects alleged to be involved in a shooting incident on Monday, July 27 that left a Bellevue Estate man nursing a gunshot wound at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

    Around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of a shooting incident at Bellevue Estate, where Alvin Spencer was reportedly shot in his neck by an unknown assailant.

    He was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he underwent emergency surgery. He is reported to be in stable condition.

    Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had just arrived at his Bellevue Estate residence, when a suspicious vehicle reportedly stopped behind his vehicle.

    An individual wearing a mask and dressed in dark clothing, exited a vehicle, and discharged several rounds before fleeing scene in the said vehicle.

    The police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have seen any suspicious vehicle in the Bellevue Estate area around the time of the incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

    The Police Administration remains committed to identifying and apprehending those responsible and continues to urge members of the public to cooperate by sharing any information that may assist with this investigation.
