Antigua and Barbuda has earned three nominations in the romance-focused categories highlighted for the 2026 World Travel Awards.
The country is nominated for Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination, while Jumby Bay Island and Sandals Grande Antigua are competing in resort categories.
Antigua and Barbuda is among 11 destinations shortlisted for the honeymoon destination award. The other nominees include Barbados, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Barth, Saint Martin, The Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Jumby Bay Island is nominated for Caribbean’s Leading Wedding Resort alongside nine properties from across the region. The private-island resort was described by honeymoon planner Renee Meyer as suitable for small luxury weddings, with multi-bedroom villas available for groups.
Sandals Grande Antigua is among eight nominees for Caribbean’s Leading Romantic Resort. It is competing against properties in Jamaica, Nevis, Saint Barth, the Dominican Republic and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The three nominations were included in a Forbes feature published Tuesday examining the region’s leading wedding, honeymoon and romantic travel options.
The article covered four specific World Travel Awards categories and was not a complete account of Antigua and Barbuda’s nominations across the wider awards programme.
Winners in the featured categories are expected to be announced in October.
