Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle has called on families across Antigua and Barbuda to show greater appreciation for fathers, saying many do not receive the recognition and love they deserve.
In a Father’s Day message, Pringle encouraged children and families to pay tribute to fathers and acknowledge their contributions to their households and communities.
“It is my hope that children and families across the Nation will pay tribute, demonstrate appreciation, and express the love that fathers long for – but, sometimes, do not receive in the measure that they deserve,” Pringle said.
He also commended fathers who are actively involved in raising their children and providing leadership within their families.
“I therefore take this opportunity to commend those dads who are stepping up to the plate, guiding their families in the right direction, and leading from the front,” he said.
Pringle noted that fathers serve as role models not only for their own children but also for young men throughout the country.
“You are an example not only to your own offspring, but to the young males in our communities,” he added.
The Opposition Leader ended his message by extending Father’s Day greetings to fathers across Antigua and Barbuda.
