National Track and Field Championships Set for June 20-21 at YASCO

The Antigua and Barbuda Athletic Association (ABAA) is preparing to host its 2026 National Track and Field Championships later this month under the theme, “Revival: Inspiring the Next Generation.”

The two-day event is scheduled for June 20 and 21 at the YASCO Sports Complex, with competition set to begin at 3 p.m. on both days.

Organizers are encouraging the public to attend what is expected to be one of the country’s premier athletics events, bringing together some of Antigua and Barbuda’s top track and field athletes.

Admission has been set at $20 for adults and $10 for children. Reserved seating will be available at $50 per day and includes drive-in parking.

Tickets can be purchased at The Makery on Old Parham Road and at the YASCO Sports Complex from 3 p.m. daily.

The championships are being staged under the banner “Revival,” with the ABAA aiming to inspire a new generation of athletes while showcasing the talent currently competing on the national stage.

The association also acknowledged the support of its sponsors, Fitzroy’s Rewinding, Hadeed Motors and the Citizenship by Investment Unit, whose contributions are helping to make the championships possible.

Officials are urging sports fans, families and supporters to attend and celebrate the future of athletics in Antigua and Barbuda.
