Janae Martin, daughter of Fabian Martin and Carol Martin, has reached a major academic milestone with her graduation from medical school, officially earning the title of Dr. Janae Martin. Originally from Antigua and Barbuda, Dr. Martin’s educational journey is a testament to years of perseverance, discipline, and dedication to serving others.

Dr. Martin began her early education at Sunnyside Tutorial before attending Christ the King High School. Following her graduation, she relocated to the United States to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a physician. She graduated magna cum laude from La Salle University with a degree in Biology and later earned a Master of Biomedical Studies from Drexel University College of Medicine.

Dr. Martin was subsequently accepted into the Wayne State University School of Medicine, where she successfully completed her medical degree in May 2026.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Martin remained actively involved in research, mentorship, and community-based healthcare initiatives centered on advancing health equity. She also dedicated time to mentoring and educating high school students pursuing careers in healthcare and the sciences.

Driven by a passion for child health and patient advocacy, Dr. Martin will join the pediatric team at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.

Dr. Martin’s achievements reflect not only academic excellence, but also a deep commitment to compassionate care, community engagement, and service. Her journey from Antigua and Barbuda to becoming a physician stands as an inspiring example of resilience, determination, and dedication to improving the lives of others.
