Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has congratulated Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne following his re-election victory, describing it as a “decisive fourth term” in office.

In a message posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Persad-Bissessar praised Browne’s leadership and said the result reflected the “strong confidence” of voters in Antigua and Barbuda.

She also extended congratulations to the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, which secured what she described as a “commanding electoral victory”.

“This renewed mandate reflects the strong confidence of the people of Antigua and Barbuda in your leadership and the ABLP and stands as a clear affirmation of the strength of democracy,” she wrote.

Persad-Bissessar added her best wishes to Browne as he continues to lead the country, expressing hope for continued progress under his administration.

The message comes after Browne secured another term in office, consolidating his party’s hold on power following the general election.
