Thousands of vehicles poured onto roads across Antigua on Sunday as the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) staged a massive “Red & Reddy” megacade that stretched for hours and spanned multiple communities islandwide.

The motorcade, which began at Rising Sun Grounds, quickly built into a high-energy display of political support, with long lines of cars, music trucks and flag-waving supporters moving through major routes including All Saints Road, Sir Sydney Walling Highway, Friars Hill Road and Market Street before ending at the Crawford Playfield.

Supporters dressed in red lined sections of the route, while others joined the procession as it passed through villages and main roads, creating a continuous flow of traffic that at times extended for miles.

Eyewitnesses described the event as one of the largest motorcades of the campaign season, with participants maintaining a festive atmosphere throughout the day. Horns blared, music played from vehicles, and supporters danced and waved party flags as the caravan moved steadily across the island.

The event formed part of the ABLP’s final push ahead of the April 30 general election, reinforcing its visibility and ground presence just days before voters head to the polls.

There were no immediate reports of major incidents, though the scale of the motorcade resulted in heavy traffic along several key routes for extended periods.
