Tyra Fenton continued her dominant run at the CARIFTA Games, capturing gold in the Under-17 girls’ 200 metres to secure her third medal of the meet for Antigua and Barbuda.

The Antigua and Barbuda Athletic Association (ABAA) confirmed the latest victory, describing the performance as another commanding display from the young sprinter.

Fenton, who had already claimed gold in the 100 metres and bronze in the 400 metres earlier in the competition, surged to victory in the 200 metres to cap an impressive weekend on the track.

The ABAA celebrated the achievement in a social media post, noting, “Tyra Fenton does it again—storming to GOLD in the U17 Girls 200m,” while highlighting that the medal brings her total to three.

Her performances have made her one of Antigua and Barbuda’s standout athletes at this year’s CARIFTA Games in Grenada, showcasing both sprint speed and endurance across multiple events.

The Games, being held at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium, continue to feature top junior talent from across the Caribbean, with Fenton’s triple-medal haul marking one of the country’s strongest individual showings of the competition.
