    VIDEO: Female Taxi Driver Denicia Martin Charged with 5 Offences After Incident With Police

    Denicia Martin of Bethesda has been charged with five offences following an altercation with a female police officer on Long Street.

    The charges, stemming from a March 16 incident, include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failing to comply with a lawful police direction, and using indecent and abusive language.

    The matter drew public attention after video of the encounter circulated online.

    Martin appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel and was granted bail of $4,500, with $1,000 cash and two sureties.

    She must report to the Gray’s Farm Police Station three times weekly and surrender her passport.

    The case is adjourned to May 20.
