    The Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union (ABWU) is seeking a dynamic, committed, and results-driven Industrial Relations Officer to join our team.

    If you are passionate about workers’ rights, skilled in negotiation, and ready to make a meaningful impact in the world of labour relations, we want to hear from you.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Represent the Union in grievance and disciplinary matters

    * Negotiate collective bargaining agreements

    * Advise members on employment and labour-related issues

    * Prepare reports, case summaries, and correspondence

    * Conduct workplace visits and engage with shop stewards and members

    * Provide guidance on the interpretation of labour laws and agreements

    Qualifications & Experience:

    * At least 5 years of experience in labour relations or union representation

    * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Law, Human Resource Management, or a related field would be an asset

    * Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    * Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters effectively

    * High level of integrity and professionalism

    Core Competencies:

    * Sound knowledge of labour legislation

    * Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

    * Strong interpersonal skills

    * Ability to maintain confidentiality
