Public servants in Antigua and Barbuda will receive a 5 percent interim salary increase at the end of March 2026, Cabinet has confirmed.

The government said the measure is intended to provide short-term financial relief as negotiations continue on a broader compensation package.

Officials stressed the increase is not final, noting that talks remain ongoing with the expectation of a more comprehensive agreement soon.

Cabinet said the move is part of efforts to cushion citizens from global economic pressures, particularly those affecting small island states, and signaled it remains prepared to introduce further measures if needed.
