A new Youth Mental Health Fund aimed at improving access to care for young people has officially opened today in Antigua and Barbuda.

The fund, introduced under the 2026 Youth Mental Health and Holistic Wellness Access Programme (YMHAP), provides vouchers to help eligible youth and their families offset the cost of mental health services.

The initiative is being implemented by the Antigua and Barbuda Holistic Coalition with support from the Mill Reef Fund. Services covered include individual, family and group counselling, psychiatric care, and psychological testing and evaluations.

Eligibility is open to youth ages six to 25 who reside in Antigua and Barbuda and are currently receiving or seeking mental health counselling, psychiatric care, or psychological testing.

Organisers say the programme is intended to expand access to mental health care so that support is accessible, dignified and within reach for young people and their families.

Applications are now open and can be submitted online at: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdosHW5GBRcA9E5EWW5dDf7jaPO7X71xxSifTWaPLb2ncMsxA/viewform?usp=header
