DRIVERS URGED TO EXERCISE CAUTION WITH START OF PHASE 3 OF AIRFIELD UPGRADE PROJECT

As the Airfield Upgrade Project at the VC Bird International Airport enters another crucial phase, the Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority (ABAA) advises all road users to exercise caution while traveling on the Burma Road, the Sir George Walter Highway, and the LIAT road.

Between now and mid-June, drivers can expect an increased presence of heavy-duty vehicles transporting construction materials.

Road users are therefore urged to remain vigilant and adhere to traffic regulations to ensure their own safety and that of the construction teams and other drivers.

The Antigua and Barbuda Airport Authority thanks the public for their patience and cooperation during this period as we carry out essential improvements to the airport’s infrastructure and operational safety
