    Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Collision on Popeshead Street

    Police are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 30, on Popeshead Street in the vicinity of Pita Pocket.

    The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Joshua Alexander of Light Foot, who was the rider of a black scooter.

    Preliminary reports indicate that Alexander was travelling from north to south along Popeshead Street at a high speed, when he apparently lost control of the scooter and collided with a wall and sidewalk on the eastern side of the road.

    He sustained multiple injuries to his body as a result of the impact.

    Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and conducted an assessment, during which no signs of life were detected. A medical doctor officially pronounced him dead at 3:16 a.m.

    The police extend condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time. The investigation is ongoing.
