Police are searching for the suspect (s) who attempted to break into the ECAB Branch on Thames Street early Tuesday morning.

Around 4:35 a.m., officers were alerted after the bank’s security alarm was triggered, prompting security personnel to check the building. During the inspection, two masked men were seen exiting a southern push-up window, while a third suspect was observed standing outside.

Further examination revealed that the intruders broke a glass window in an apparent attempt to gain access to other areas of the building, but were unsuccessful. Nothing was reported stolen.

The suspects were all dressed in dark clothing with their faces concealed. Two of the men are estimated to be approximately 5 ft. 9 in. in height, while the third is believed to be about 5 ft. 6 in.

It was further reported that the suspects fled the scene in a white Toyota Vitz motor car.

The police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist in the investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or call the Crimestoppers anonymous hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).
