A double-header in Division One of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association saw Starz overpower Royal Cruisers whereas High Flyerz swept Phoenix-Flyerz in a one-sided contest played on Monday evening at the YMCA Sports Complex.

The first match saw Starz deliver a convincing three-nil victory over Royal Cruisers in the Women’s Division, controlling the game from start to finish in a match that lasted an hour and 15 minutes. They won the first set 25-15, the second 25-23 and the third 25-14.

The second match saw High Flyerz cruise past Phoenix-Flyerz with a dominant 3-0 sweep in the Men’s Division, taking control early and never looking back. The match lasted just an hour, as High Flyerz kept their opponents on the back foot throughout. They won the match with set scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-15.

On Wednesday, the division will resume with Jets taking on Stoneville (Women) and Pytonz and High Flyerz-Phoenix (Men) playing the final match of the evening.
