In a moment of unimaginable loss, the National Vocational and Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities (NVRCPD) stands united in sorrow and support for the family of 9-year-old Chantal Crump, who tragically went missing on Wednesday evening and was found murdered today.

Regan Calliste, Director of the NVRCPD and the sole focal point person for all disability-related matters in Antigua and Barbuda, along with his dedicated team of staff, extends their deepest condolences to Chantal’s family during this painful time. They offer not only their sympathy but also their unwavering support, especially to Toshiba Proctor, Chantal’s sister, who is a valued and committed member of the NVRCPD team. “Words cannot fully express the sorrow we feel for this heartbreaking loss,” said Calliste.

“We want Toshiba and the entire Crump family to know that we are here for them. As a department, and as a Ministry, we will provide all the support we can during this difficult journey.” In this time of grief, the NVRCPD team encourages the Crump family to lean on their faith, knowing that the Heavenly Father will walk with them through the darkest moments. “It is through faith that we find the strength to carry on,” Calliste said. “We trust that God’s presence will bring peace and healing in the midst of this storm.”

The NVRCPD, along with the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, assures Toshiba and the Crump family that they are not alone. The team is ready to provide support in any way needed, offering a strong network of love, prayer, and strength as they face this unimaginable sorrow.
