Activist Bonita Williams, who organized multiple searches for nine-year-old Chantel Crump, is urging the public to gather this morning in solidarity with the grieving family. She is also calling for the death penalty for those responsible for the child’s tragic death.

“We want justice for this family because they deserve it. Let us bring awareness to what is happening in our country and demand answers from our Prime Minister. We need security for our children,” Williams stated in an impassioned appeal.

She urged the community, including influencers, artists, and individuals from all walks of life, to stand together. “Look at your own children and picture Chantel’s face. Imagine if that was your child—what would you want to be done for her? Chantel has opened our eyes to the dangers we face. If we do not take a stand now, our kids will not be safe in the future,” she said.

Williams called for accountability, pressing authorities to ensure those responsible for Chantel’s death are punished. “Today is the day to stop talking behind keyboards and take action. We need answers from the police commissioner, from the government. We cannot allow this little girl’s life to be taken in vain.”

The unity gathering will take place this morning outside the police headquarters on American Road, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Williams emphasized that this is not a protest but a show of support for Chantel’s family.

“I will be there, even if I have to stand alone. The whole nation must stand for this little girl,” she declared.

Williams also highlighted the growing fear among parents, with many now hesitant to send their children to school due to safety concerns. “Mothers have reached out to me, crying about their fears for their children. We cannot continue like this,” she said.

She urged everyone to support Chantel’s parents, Marsha Crump and her husband, as they grieve. “I watched this mother faint last night—her blood pressure skyrocketing from the pain. She is devastated. We must be there for them.”

Williams ended her call to action with a desperate plea: “This country is crying out. We need to stand together. If nothing else, let us unite for the safety of our children.”
