Scrub Life Cares, a local nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting women and girls, is appealing to the public for help restocking its menstrual pantry.

The group operates the “Grow With The Flo” community programme to provide menstrual and hygiene essentials to those in need.

With demand remaining high, Scrub Life Cares has issued a call for donations of menstrual pads, soap, hand sanitizer, panty liners, wipes, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, lotion, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

The aim is to replenish supplies so no woman or girl has to go without these basic necessities.

“We are committed to making sure every woman and girl in our community has access to the menstrual and hygiene products they need,” said Tanya Ambrose, founder and CEO of Scrub Life Cares.

“By restocking our pantry, we can continue empowering individuals through our Grow With The Flo program.”

The public can contribute in several ways – purchasing items from the group’s Amazon wishlist, making monetary donations through the website at www.scrublifecares.org, or dropping off physical product donations at the National Training Agency location on Redcliffe Street.

Ambrose stressed that any donation, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and girls facing period poverty and lack of access to proper sanitation.

The donation drive runs until May 10th.

According to Scrub Life Cares, having an adequate supply of menstrual products allows women and girls to attend school, work and social activities without interruption and maintain their dignity.

The nonprofit hopes a successful drive will allow its pantry to remain well-stocked for months to come.

Those interested in supporting the cause can contact Scrub Life Cares at 973-641-2527, info@scrublifecares.org or via WhatsApp to coordinate donations or arrange item pick-up.
